Hi. This post is called best folding garden wheelbarrow. These types of wheelbarrows are very convenient to use and easy to fold up and store away when you are not using it.
A fold-able garden wheelbarrow is ideally suited to carting around leaves, compost and fit for other types of light duty gardening jobs. Not really suited for say carting a load of bricks or stones, which may damage the barrow bag lining, plus the wheels on these are not that heavy duty either.

BOSMERE W302 Folding Garden Wheelbarrow
First up I will be looking at a BOSMERE W302 Folding Wheelbarrow. This has a green painted frame and green PVC backed polyester bag lining. There is a single wheel up front. So, a wheelbarrow basically, except for the fact that it can fold up and be stored more neatly than a regular wheelbarrow, which can be a bit of a stumble-hazard, if left in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Features and Specs
- folds almost completely flat for storage
- folds open for garden use
- there are three storage pouches on the back of the canvas barrow
- load up to 100 Lbs max capacity
Quick Thought : This is a great little collapsible garden wheelbarrow for light duty garden jobs! |
Questions and Answers
Give me a rough idea of its dimensions when folded.
When the Bosmere W302 Folding Garden Wheelbarrow is folded, its dimensions are roughly 45 inches high and 13 inches wide.
And when the foldable wheelbarrow is folded open for use?
Then the folding wheelbarrow is about 32 inches x 20 inches x 29 inches (L x W x H)
What does this collapsible wheelbarrow weigh?
The folding wheelbarrow weighs just shy of 10 pounds. Considering that it can supposedly carry up to almost 100 pounds, this featherweight barrow certainly punches above its weight.
Can I cart dirt around in this?
I think you could yes, though most people seem to use it for lighter duty stuff like carting around leaves, garden mulch, weeding waste and other stuff. But this folding garden cart should be quite capable of “dirt-racing”. Just wash it down with the hose afterwards to get rid of any dust and grime.

Notes on Quality and Operation
The key is that this Bosmere W302 Folding Wheelbarrow should be used for the general light duty work around the garden. Treating it too rough or loading it up too much or with the wrong type of material (basically stuff that will rip through the bag lining) can shorten its lifespan.
Its excellent portability means that you can take it with you wherever you may need a wheelbarrow type unit. Much easier than loading a normal steel wheelbarrow – this folding garden wheelbarrow will even fit in the back of a car.

Questions and Answers
How do you load this fold up wheelbarrow?
It can be loaded and unloaded at ground level. So you could rake or shovel stuff into it quite easily.
Can I load rocks and stuff in this as well?
Yes, you could certainly use this folding garden wheelbarrow to move gravel, spread bark or smaller rocks and pebbles. But i.e. just take care not to overload it and not to load it with material that could rip through or poke a hole through the barrow bag. The front wheel can apparently take up to 300 Lbs. Not sure what the bag will hold (or the person pushing the barrow).
Do I need to assemble this foldable wheelbarrow when I get it for the first time?
Yes, but there are only one or two things you need to do before you are up and running, so it is by no means any kind of major assembly job.

Notes on Quality and Operation
Folding garden wheelbarrows are collapsible which makes them easy to store and transport and this offering from HISC is no exception. It can also be loaded and unloaded at ground level which should make some gardening jobs a little easier.
This little collapsible garden wheelbarrow by HISC will be a useful addition to any garden. Capable of carting anything from weeds to gravel to other tools around. And the best part is that it stores away in a small space.
Folding Garden Wheelbarrow – Final Thoughts
While a folding wheelbarrow is not really suited to heavy duty work, it is the ideal solution for everyday light gardening duties where you need to cart around compost, dry leaves, weeds or vegetables from your home garden. It can also handle coarse gravel and pebbles.
Folding wheelbarrows basically consist of a wheel in front, a light metal frame and a barrow bag made from some kind of plastic or canvas like material, so all in all its a real lightweight wheelbarrow solution for carting jobs.
Not everybody has a huge garden or tool shed and garages are usually pretty cramped because of all the other stuff one stores there. And there’s nothing worse than wheelbarrow handles sticking out where you need to park the car.
Both of these wheelbarrows offer about the same performance and design features – so it will probably come down to price and availability being the deciding factors.
